SACRED GODDESSES OF ANATOLIA
ATHENA

Athena’s owl holds an important place in ancient Greek culture as a symbol of wisdom and intuition. Due to its ability to see in the dark, the owl has traditionally been associated with wisdom. This figure appears on silver tetradrachm coins used in Athens between 479–420 BC, with the inscription “ΑΘΕ” meaning “of the Athenians.” The coin also features an olive branch, a symbol of peace and prosperity. Athena represents intellect, strategy, and protection through the owl, olive branch, helmet, and spear. In Roman mythology, Athena is known as Minerva. The pendant replicates this historic figure exactly.
